Just Encourage Yourself and say I Am!

"In the midst of our mental health struggles, it's important to remember that we are not defined by our weaknesses, but by our strengths."

Being able to focus on your own Strengths can assist in building self-confidence, promote a positive self-image, and increase resilience when facing challenges. Identifying and utilizing Personal Strengths permits us all to focus on what we’re good at to bring us joy and will cultivate a sense of real Purpose and Fulfillment in Life. This sense of Purpose can be a powerful motivator in helping to keep us on track with our Recovery Goals.

On the flip side of that same coin though, focusing on our weaknesses opens unwanted doors of engaging in negative self-talk and self-destructive behaviors, that will impede our progress in Recovery.

Recognizing our Strengths and using them to overcome challenges is a way of taking control of our Lives and actively working towards our Goals. It is a way of recognizing that we are not defined by our mental health conditions, but rather by the unique Strengths, Talents, Gifts, and Qualities that make us who we are!
